"Ron Paul called for a 'golden rule for foreign policy' during the recent presidential debate in South Carolina. The audience booed. This reaction shocked me, given that most of the people booing were almost certainly Evangelicals. Jesus taught the Golden Rule. Did Christians now hate it? Would Jesus have booed what Ron Paul said? Is there some Christian principle by which Jesus's teachings DO NOT APPLY to foreign policy, national defense, and the conduct of war?" (01/25/12)

They apparently didn't apply to the millions of German Christians who were complicit in the murder of millions of Jews, Gypsies and mentally-challenged humans they killed, supporting the Nazis. They apparently didn't apply to the millions of American Indians who were brutally slaughtered during the late nineteenth century in the USA.

This tendency is the result of millions of self-deluded hypocrites who think they are "born-again" because they meet with fellow hypocrites in fancy buildings or believe fairytales and fantasies loosely derived from mistranslated ancient religious writings. It's obvious to an honest reader that the reported sayings of Yeshuvah the Nazarite require a "death" to the self followed by a complete transformation of consciousness, a rebirth, and not merely a change in belief systems. The "soul" the believers want God to save for eternity is, in fact, the self one must die to in order to be reborn. As my fiend, Beth, said to me years ago, "What do you expect from people whose whole way of life depends on letting somebody else pay for their mistakes.?" I expect them to commit murder, genocide and atrocities, as they always have done. I expect them to boo Ron Paul's wisdom.
