"A Nevada judge ruled Wednesday that an anti-abortion petition is so vague that backers may not even circulate it among voters. In granting an injunction against Personhood Nevada, District Judge James Wilson said that the attempt to define the meaning of a 'person' in the state’s Constitution was 'excessively broad.'" [editor's note: I applaud the judge's move; the vaguer the wording (on this issue, as on any other), the more room for very ugly "unintended consequences" - SAT] (12/22/11)

  • Steve, what makes you think those consequences are “unintended”?
