UN authorizes Swiss to unblock $400 million in Libyan assets

"The Swiss government says it has received permission from the United Nations to unfreeze $350 million Swiss francs ($400 million) worth of Libyan assets in Switzerland. The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs says it was informed of the decision by the U.N. sanctions committee at the beginning of the week. A further 300 million francs remain frozen in Switzerland." (09/15/11)
