"A Taiwanese court has overturned the conviction of former President Chen Shui-bian on charges of embezzling state funds. The move is not expected to impact the 17-year sentence he is serving on more serious charges. In Friday's decision, the High Court modified a previous finding and acquitted Chen of embezzling $3.15 million from a special presidential fund." (08/25/11)
