UK: Home Office meets social networks to discuss censorship agenda

"Home secretary Theresa May is meeting Twitter, Research In Motion and Facebook to discuss the feasibility of blocking access to social networks in times of social disorder. ... The Home Office declined to tell ZDNet UK whether it will discuss closing down social networks completely during disorder, but said that social networks are 'a means of enabling criminals to communicate.'"
