"July 29 marked the anniversary of Arizona's controversial immigration law, SB 1070, the state's toughest attempt to target unauthorized immigration since the 2007 Legal Arizona Workers Act. Since then several states -- most notably Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama -- have passed similar laws. However, Arizona has actually hurt itself by targeting unauthorized immigrants. Other states should learn from its experience before following it down the same path." (07/30/11)
