"Conservatives argue that America has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. ... it is worth looking at where the spending comes from. Conservatives are focused on cutting domestic discretionary spending: the spending for everything government does outside of the military, the guaranteed programs like Social Security and Medicare and interest on the national debt. But domestic programs haven’t been the source of the increased spending." [editor's note: This is hardly news; undeclared wars and corporate (aka "king's favorites") welfare/bailouts have always been the bottomless pits of statism; however, the answer is to STOP spending there, not tax to fund more of it! - SAT] (07/18/11)

It's not either a spending or revenue problem… it is a THEFT problem. Stop the theft and the problems will take care of themselves. The major resistance to that is, of course, from the 51% or more of the population that benefits from the theft, even when they are one of the victims themselves. It's all insane.
