"Amazon said Thursday it is terminating its relationship with thousands of California associates because of a new law that would require the online mega-retailer to collect sales taxes if it has affiliates in the state. Governor Jerry Brown signed the measure into law on Thursday as part of the state's plan to reduce its budget gap. It is expected to add $200 million to the Golden State's coffers." [editor's note: Good on Amazon, although the preferable route would be to keep the associates and just say no to the tax demands - TLK] (06/29/11)
  • Now that the measure has not only failed to bring in additional revenue, and has caused greater unemployment, will Jerry Brown admit he was wrong? HAHAHA!
