"Judge James Zagel continues to lose his patience with [former Illinois governor Rod] Blagojevich and his lawyers, sending them into the lunch break with another warning to force the former governor to inject some discipline into his testimony and stop wandering and repeating things. ... The trigger proved to be a question from one of Blagojevich’s lawyers about a transcript from a wiretap conversation that Blagojevich had on Nov. 3, 2008, about the Senate seat with his chief of staff, John Harris. ... Blagojevich said he couldn’t tell from the transcript what he was talking about because of the asterisks, eliciting an objection from prosecutor Reid Schar, who complained that Blagojevich was trying to suggest to jurors that the transcript had been doctored to make him look bad."
