"The Wall Street Journal printed a devastating editorial highlighting a stark contrast between who is pulling the wagon and who is riding in it. 'We've Become a Nation of Takers, Not Makers,' Stephen Moore, April 1, shows the employment base has been distorted to such an extent that more Americans now work for the government than in manufacturing, farming, fishing, forestry, mining and utilities combined. We couldn’t help but wonder what the impact of this employment shift means for the nation’s capital region, the nexus of federal government employment." (04/14/11)
