"A Michigan history teacher was arraigned on charges he had a handgun and live ammunition in his car, MyFoxDetroit.com reports. Raymond Schepansky, 52, was charged Saturday with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon on school property and felony firearm. Schepansky, an Army veteran who has been teaching for 13 years, was arrested near Plymouth, Canton and Salem High Schools after he allegedly made threats against fellow staff members, according to the station. The threats alarmed school administrators, who then canceled classes last week for more than 6,000 students at the Plymouth Canton high schools." [editor's note: Okay, if the guy threatened another teacher, this makes a little sense; normally, I'd say that teacher could've been a line of defense in the event of another Columbine! - SAT] (04/17/11)
