"Vitamins and other dietary supplements continue to gain popularity in the United States, according to a government survey released yesterday. The percentage of US adults who take supplements increased from 42 percent when the last National Health and Examination Survey was conducted, 1988-1994, to 50 percent when the most recent survey was performed, 2003-2006, according to a report from the National Center for Health Statistics, which did the survey."
