"November 18, 1883, is a day that should go down in voluntaryist history. It marks what is possible for people to achieve when they are left to themselves to solve their own problems. It shows what is possible when social change depends only on proprietary justice and respect for Individual rights. It was on that day that the standard time zone plan was put into effect over nearly all of North America. What is so voluntaryist about this achievement is that the whole program was accomplished without the benefit of legislation; no compulsion was threatened or used." (04/04/11)
