"The state's Citizens Clean Elections Act, which provides candidates with public campaign funds as long as they don't accept private donations, is being challenged. Legal experts say its chances of survival aren't good. ... On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear a constitutional challenge to the Arizona law brought by the conservative Goldwater Institute and the libertarian Institute for Justice." (03/26/11)

  • The question before the SCOTUS, as I see it (an Arizona voter), is whether elections belong to candidates (and their owners/puppetmasters) or whether the elections belong to the voters. For the Roberts court to rule in favor of McComish is to codify government of, by and for the corporation. I hope they don't do that.
