"Egyptian authorities have released Google executive Wael Ghonim, who went missing amidst the protests in Cairo. 'We have indeed received confirmation of his release,' Mark Toner, a spokesman for the U.S. State Department, told the Wall Street Journal. ... While Ghonim has been released, according to the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights, around 1,275 have been detained since the start of the protests, the Journal said."
