"Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday said the government would not allow any political party or group to hold rallies at capital's D-Chowk and F-9 park and would establish its writ, days before Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's foundation day rally scheduled to be held on April 24. ... The minister said Islamabad protests in 2014 caused Rs1 billion losses to national exchequer, urging the political parties to hold their rallies in other cities instead of the federal capital where blockades and suspension of mobile phone services cause inconvenience."
