"Dozens were taken into custody and two cops were reported injured Tuesday as anti-police brutality protests erupted across two boroughs and brought traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge to a standstill. About 400 protesters walked from Union Square to NYPD headquarters at 1 Police Plaza in lower Manhattan, before taking to the roadway of the bridge and marching through Brooklyn. Cops and protesters clashed, leaving one NYPD sergeant injured after getting punched in the face by a protester, cops said. Another cop was reportedly injured after being hit by a bottle on Flatbush Ave., sources said." (04/14/15)
