"It was Christmas Day 2009 when Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab of Nigeria was accused of trying to blow up a Northwest flight to Detroit by detonating an explosive device hidden in his underwear. Obama, on vacation in Hawaii, didn't address the incident publicly for several days. White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan released a fact sheet on holiday security today .... Federal authorities have 'taken steps to ensure past anti-terror failures are not repeated,' Brennan said at the top of today's White House briefing, adding that past 'deficiencies' are being addressed." • Thought I'd copy over my comment left at USA Today on this:

"Protecting the American people from the scourge of terrorism is an ongoing and constantly evolving process." %| (eyes rolling) US government is the ultimate cause of the majority of violent acts aimed at "Americans" for being "Americans – started many years ago & has been "an ongoing and constantly evolving process."

The solution to the "terrorism" is for US government to quickly get troops & other of its enforcers (covert & overt) out of all non-US geographical areas, Iraq & Afghanistan at the top of the list. The same troop-removal process goes for other governments, world-wide. There would then be little if any "terrorism" aimed at citizens of other countries. Consider the sparse amount of terrorism (if any at all) aimed at Swiss citizens…
